We are happy to launch our new effortless Collaring System PLUS 115 SS for Stainless Steel Branching – a totally redesigned capacity expanding attachment for the T-65 SS Portable Collaring Machine.
While the T-65 SS forms up to 54 mm (2” O.D.) outlets for butt welded joints on stainless steel pipes, the new PLUS 115 SS reaches up to 114,3 mm (4” O.D.) in just a few minutes. The powerful PLUS 115 SS an optimal solution for the process piping industry and suits well for both construction and renovation projects, as well as the demanding field conditions in maintenance and repair work. As an ergonomically designed system it minimizes the operator workload and is highly effortless to use.
The designer, Mr. Jukka-Pekka Paukkunen, describes: “Our bigger industrial machines all have computer controlled servo motors for milling. I wanted to make something similar but it had to be completely mechanical. I also wanted to add a handle to minimize the operator workload. After a couple of trials I noticed that having only two hands brings an issue. Luckily I found a pedal switch. Now I was able to use the handle while lubricating the milling pin with my other hand.”
Jukka-Pekka continues: “The process was effortless and adjusting the size of the pilot hole was simple. And what was the most important thing from the operator’s point of view, a pilot hole could now be made without breaking a sweat.”
